(InvestigateTV) — A record number of people are considered unhoused in the United States.

A federal report released in 2023 found more than 653,000 were experiencing homelessness, a more than 12% increase since the previous year.

The National Alliance to End Homelessness says every night more than 300,000 men, women, and children stay in homeless shelters.

Of that number, 40% are unsheltered, meaning they sleep somewhere like a tent or a car.

Advocates say often people without homes avoid traditional shelters because of a lack of privacy.

Reporter John Snell shows us how one group is providing that sense of privacy and dignity with tiny homes.
