TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) - A woman in Temple has lost her home of three decades after it was ripped apart in the recent storms.

Norma Fuller says they weren’t home at the time because her gut feeling was urging her out the door before the storm.

When she heard that Highway 53 had been hit, she came and her home and her heart were in pieces.

Fuller also has custody of two foster children under the age of five and as devastated as she is for herself, she says it’s hard on the kids who have already been through so much.

“This was their safe haven. This was their home, this is where they came to lay down and sleep every night. When I came out and they saw it, they asked if the big bad wolf came and blew down our house. I said apparently so,” Fuller explains.

On top of this, her cat is also buried somewhere underneath the rubble and she doesn’t have insurance so she isn’t sure what to do next.

On a more positive note, a non-profit in Waco that helps with foster children brought some clothes and comfort for the kids while Fuller figures out her next steps.

If you would like to help the Fuller family recover, a GoFundMe has been set up for donations.
