Lacy Lakeview PD searching for driver who passed by stopped school bus as children were entering, exiting

LACY LAKEVIEW, Texas (KWTX) - The Lacy Lakeview Police Department says they are searching for a driver who passed by a stopped school bus as children were entering and exiting on multiple occasions.

Police received complaints regarding a red Ford Explorer that passed a stopped school bus on two separate occasions on the morning of March 24th, 2025.

On both occasions, authorities say children were entering and exiting the school bus while the car was passing by.

“This is dangerous and unacceptable behavior of the driver and we are looking for assistance in identifying the individual,” Lacy Lakeview PD says.

The incident took place near Ave. H and Powers St. Authorities say this is a traffic offense punishable by a fine of no less than $500.
