WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Vyonte Guess, 34, was arrested after he kicked a man in the face while that man was being held on the ground by police officers, an arrest warrant states.

Guess was charged with aggravated assault-serious bodily injury and was booked into the McLennan County Jail on bonds adding up to $11,000.

On April 19, 2025, Guess got into a fight with the victim in a parking lot in the 2300 block of Robinson Drive.

The fight was stopped by security guards and the victim was being held on the ground with his hands behind his back by a police officer.

Guess, the arrest warrant alleges, was not yet detained and “was believed to have abandoned the fight,” police wrote in the warrant.

Guess then walked up to the victim, who was still on the ground, and kicked the defenseless man in the face, the warrant states.

“The kick in the face caused pain and non-displaced fractures of some bones of the [victim’s] eye socket,” police documented in the affidavit.

The victim also reported to police that he is suffering from nerve damage on his face because of the assault.

Guess is no longer listed as an active inmate in the county jail’s website.
