Thermometer Tips for Grilling

Tri-Tip Roast: Pull from the grill at 130°F for medium-rare or 140°F for medium. Always rest for at least 10 minutes.

Brisket Hot Dogs: Heat to 165°F internal temp for food safety.

Veggies & Mushrooms: No minimum temp, but 135°F ensures warmth and grill marks.

General Tip:

  • Use a digital instant-read thermometer for fast, accurate reads.
  • Insert into the thickest part of the protein (avoid bone or fat).
  • Clean the thermometer between uses with an alcohol wipe or hot, soapy water.
