Authorities in Bosque County report high water, road closures, mandatory evacuation for RV park

BOSQUE COUNTY, Texas (KWTX) - The Bosque County Sheriff’s Office is reporting high water and dangerous conditions on several roads in Bosque County.
Sheriff Hendricks with BCSO says due to the reports, he has issued a mandatory evacuation order for all RV’s at the Bosque Bottoms RV park.
“If you are a resident or have family or friends there, please begin moving asap. Deputies will be in the area soon to insure all are moved,” Hendricks said.
The sheriff also said those who live in flood prone areas, near the river and creeks, should make plans to evacuate as well.
The current road closures include:
- FM 927 on both sides of Walnut Springs has closures.
- Highway 6 south of Iredell has only one lane open.
- FM 3220 west of Clifton is closed.
Authorities say other areas are high but aren’t currently closed.
Low water crossings and lower elevation areas are also flooding.
“Travel is not recommended. Do not drive through water! Turn around, don’t drown,” the BCSO said.
