Katy, Texas, coach struck by stray bullet during game

KATY, Texas (KWTX) – A coach was struck in the shoulder by a stray bullet during a baseball game Sunday morning at The Rac.

According to Waller County Emergency Medical Services, units Katy, M6, E6, and S2 responded to the scene and provided immediate care to the victim.

Officials said the victim was transported by LifeFlight to a downtown hospital and is listed in stable condition.

According to The Rac Katy, police apprehended individuals involved in nearby recreational shooting.

All practices and games at the facility have been paused pending the outcome of the investigation to ensure the safety of all visitors.
