Suspect charged with murder in killing of Anthony Glenn Powell in Killeen, Texas

KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) - A criminal complaint charging murder has been issued against Ryon Marcus Lucius in the killing of Anthony Glenn Powell in October 2025.
At about 10:40 p.m. on Oct. 16, police officers responded to a 911 call regarding a gunshot victim in the 800 block of W. Avenue D.
When the officers arrived, they located Powell suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was airlifted to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives with the Killeen Police Department Robbery-Homicide Unit identified Lucius as the suspect, said a spokeswoman for the department.
The case was presented to the Bell County District Attorney’s Office, and a complaint was issued charging Lucius with murder.
Justice of the Peace Nicola James issued a warrant for his arrest.
Lucius is currently incarcerated in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice on unrelated charges, police said.
