Three arrested, infant removed after meth found during Palestine traffic stop

PALESTINE, Texas (KLTV) - A traffic stop just after midnight on Sunday led to the arrest of three people and the seizure of a large amount of suspected meth, according to Palestine police.
The Palestine Police Department said officers pulled over a vehicle around 12:39 a.m. on S. Loop 256 at Benbrook for a traffic violation.

According to police, the driver, Laura Lee Dorsey, 35, of Tyler, did not have a valid driver’s license and neither did the two passengers — Julio Cesar Roa, 30, and Stephanie Raquel Silva, 30, both of Tyler. The couple’s eight-month-old daughter was also in the vehicle.
While searching the vehicle, officers found around 15 pounds of suspected meth inside a duffel bag.

All three were arrested and charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance and child endangerment. Police said Child Protective Services took custody of the eight-month-old.
