Meth seized, three arrests made after multiple search warrants executed in Walnut Springs, sheriff says

WALNUT SPRINGS, Texas (KWTX) - Investigators with the Bosque County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, assisted by deputies, executed multiple search warrants Tuesday, March 11, as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation in Walnut Springs, officials said.
One of the warrants was served in the 100 block of East Norway Street, where investigators reported finding suspected illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
Authorities said they recovered about 9.27 grams of methamphetamine, along with digital scales and other items commonly associated with the distribution of narcotics.
Two people were arrested and booked into the Bosque County Jail, according to the sheriff’s office:
- Melanie Ann Evans, 43, of Meridian, charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (methamphetamine), 4–200 grams, a first-degree felony.
- Daisy Smart-Quintana, 27, of Dallas, charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), 4–200 grams, a second-degree felony, and tampering with physical evidence, a third-degree felony.
Investigators also executed a separate search warrant in the 100 block of West Norway Street, where authorities said they recovered about 11.74 grams of methamphetamine, along with digital scales and packaging materials commonly used in narcotics distribution.
Salvador Chavez Jr., 40, of Walnut Springs, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (methamphetamine), 4–200 grams, a first-degree felony, officials said.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional arrests are possible, the sheriff’s office said.
