Temple High School’s F-C-C-L-A chapter is headed to the National Leadership Conference
It is the first time in a decade.
Freshmen Christian Yepez and Juliana Barrientos qualified at State in Dallas, taking 2nd and 3rd in Early Childhood Education.
The National Leadership Conference will be held July 6th through 10th in D.C.
Temple ISD 7th-grader Maren Garcia has been named a Baylor TIP Green Scholar
The Travis Science Academy student earned the honor with college-level test scores and will have access to advanced learning through Baylor.
She’s the third Temple ISD 7th-grader to earn Baylor TIP recognition in two years.
A La Vega High School senior is headed to the world’s largest pre-college STEM Competition
David Martinez will compete at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair next week with a project studying an eco-friendly composite alternative, using recycled plastic as a possible alternative to lumber.
Martinez leaves Sunday, May 10.
Temple High School’s Business Professionals of America chapter send 6 students National.
It will take place after state in Dallas, TX.
Qualifiers include Carlos Gamez in server administration, Atharv Garg in banking and finance, and Mason Abbey in word processing.
The conference runs now through May 10th.
Killeen I-S-D students earning top honors at the State Visual Art Scholastic Event and Junior VASE.
The district says 11 of 15 high school artworks earned a 4, placing those pieces in the top six percent statewide at regionals.
In Junior VASE, Killeen I-S-D had 149 of 156 entries earn a 4, and 19 middle school students received platinum medals.
