Two arrested in connection with injured dog found on Interstate 35
BRUCEVILLE-EDDY, Texas (KWTX) - Two people have been arrested in connection with an animal cruelty investigation involving a dog found severely injured along Interstate Highway 35 last year.
The Bruceville-Eddy Police Department arrested Melissa Wood and Jacob Vincent II following an extensive investigation. Both were booked into the Collin County Jail.

The arrests stem from warrants issued for Cruelty to Non-Livestock Animals, a third-degree felony.
The investigation involved the review of veterinary records, witness statements, electronic communications, cellular data analysis, rescue records and other evidence collected over several months.
The investigation began after Lincoln, a dog, was found severely injured along I-35 on Nov. 8, 2025. The Bruceville-Eddy Police Chief brought him to a clinic where his injuries were treated. Lincoln required surgery for both of his hips.
