Children are suspected of vandalizing the Little River-Academy Community Center, damaging a refrigerator, a stove, a microwave and a number of photographs.

Photos taken by residents show the damage the vandals left behind.

“It looked bad it was heartbreaking," said Nell Messer the community center’s president.

"Not only the devastation, but that someone would want to do that to it," she said.

The Bell County Sheriff's Office says investigators have talked to some juveniles and describes them as persons of interest.

Messer days the vandals caused thousands of dollars’ worth of damage.

Repairs are underway.

"I’m sure their families are very devastated by it," said Messer, who said he forgives the children who destroyed the inside of the center.

"Our community needs to be in prayer for everyone involved," she said.

Messer says they are planning fundraisers to help buy a new stove and fridge, along with any repairs that the kids might have caused.
