HARKER HEIGHTS, Texas (KWTX) A registered sex offender who officials say exposed himself to a Harker Heights High School student was jailed late Wednesday afternoon.
Jeremi Deshawn Guidry, 27, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant charging failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements, Killeen ISD spokesman Terry Abbott said.
The arrest stems from an investigation by Killeen ISD police with assistance from both the Harker Heights and Killeen police departments after a man exposed himself to a girl at around 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 19 in the school’s parking lot.
A security camera captured a photo of the car the man was driving, a gold or tan Hyundai Sonata that was missing its right front hubcap.
“KISD Police used security camera video to spot the suspect's car and traced it to the man,” Abbott said.
“KISD sent the picture of the car to news media and posted it on social media. Thousands of people saw the picture of the car and shared it throughout the community,” he said.
Guidry’s bond was set at $100,000, Abbott said.
Guidry was convicted in 2015 of indecency with a child by exposure and received a three-year sentence, Abbott said.
