Waco: Free bike helmets distributed at Cultural Arts Festival

The McLennan County Medical Society is distributing 400 free bicycle helmets this weekend at the Cultural Arts Festival in Waco.
The helmets are available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Science Fest in Texas Room 113-115 at the Waco Convention Center.
“Show up, get fitted, and walk away with a free helmet,” McLennan County Medical Society Executive Director JoAn Felton said.
The helmet giveaway is part of the Texas Medical Association's Hard Hats for Little Heads Program, which has distributed 280,000 helmets since its creation in 1994.
