Temple police identify suspect, victim in deadly shooting
TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) - The Temple Police Department has identified the suspect and the victim in a Thursday morning shooting in a park that left one individual dead.
Police said the suspect is Kevin Jaramillo Ramirez, 17, of Temple, and the victim is Paolo Tescari, 47, of Temple.

On November 7, around 8:00 a.m., an officer was near the 400 block of W. Avenue A when an individual approached him and said an incident had happened in a park.
The individual gave the officer a description of the possible suspect and the car that fled the scene.
A Constable in the area found the car that was described by the individual and Ramirez driving it.
The Constable was able to detain Ramirez while the officer attempted to perform life-saving measures on Tescari at the scene.
MS and TFR arrived on scene and continued life-saving measures but the Tescari died as a result of his injuries. JP Wilkey pronounced the time of death at 8:24 a.m. on Thursday.
”There are no words to adequately express the hurt that the family at Feed My Sheep is feeling today. The loss of Paolo is tragic. I do not know all the specifics of what occurred but I do know another one of our friends life has come to an end," Jeff Stegall with Feed My Sheep said about Tescari. I’ve said this before and I will say it again this horrific loss of lives must end."
Police say the Ramirez has been detained, and there is no threat to the public. This case is currently under investigation.
Temple officials say they know that the displaced population in the city are at risk of violence or sickness every day and are working every day to provide a solution.
Temple Mayor, Tim Davis, says that the city and officials need to act quickly to provide more resources to help those in need.
“Until we are willing to dedicate resources to that this will be an ongoing problem,” Davis said.
Director of Housing for the city of Temple, Nancy Glover, says they are working to find a permanent housing solution to help people get back on their feet.
“Without that support coming alongside them and helping them, it’s very difficult to stay in housing, so what our intention is, is to have that housing for them and all the services around them to help them ultimately be self-sufficient and taking care of themselves, and living and thriving,” Glover said.
Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact Temple PD at 254-298-5500 or the Bell County Crime Stoppers at 254-526-8477.
