WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Former Baylor Acro & Tumbling All-American Bayley Humphrey has recently become a viral sensation in the wrestling world. Her debut on WWE Legends & Future Greats aired last week on A&E. Humphrey’s very first match in front of a live audience is going viral because of her finishing blow.

“Honestly, there are days I don’t even believe it,” said Humphrey. “Like oh my gosh, this video has 1 million views, like this is crazy.”

Humphrey ended her match by pulling out the “Great Khali Finisher”, a classic move where she gripped her opponent’s skull to defeat. It’s been viewed millions of times across all social media platforms.

The Chandler, Arizona native is expected to become a fan favorite in the WWE. As a prodigy of one of the all-time greats, the Undertaker, Humphrey has discovered a whole new side to her competitiveness.

“Honestly, wrestling has brought out a new level because the minute I get in the ring, it’s like completely different,” said Humphrey. “People get to see a different side of me that I’m really excited about. I think that just surprised people because I don’t think they were expecting that.”

Humphrey credits her time at Baylor to launching her pro wrestling career. She says her entire career as an athlete would have likely ended if it wasn’t for the platform that Baylor gave her.

“They just had so much faith in me and trust in me as an athlete,” said Humphrey. “That just grew my confidence over time. They are the reason I have the opportunities I have. I truly think if I had not come (to Baylor), I wouldn’t be where I am today.”

As Humphrey continues to compete on WWE LFG, she hopes to inspire other females athletes that present her similar stature and strength.

“The big thing that I kind of showcased at Baylor was us muscular women are beautiful,” said Humphrey. “I think we should be freaking celebrated. Like heck yeah, look what we can do. I truly think this can be an avenue for so many girls because they’re so strong. They can incorporate that into different ways, and I truly think my story and my journey can definitely inspire them for sure.”
