Missing Uber driver from Kosse found dead in Waco

WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Veronica Rowe, a missing Uber driver from Kosse, was found dead in her car at the Flying J Truck Stop in Waco on April 22, according to her family. They said no foul play is suspected at this time.

Rowe’s family told KWTX that the 54-year-old was last seen on April 17 when she told a friend she was going to the Waco-area to work some Uber gigs that evening. She allegedly told her friend that she was going to return the following morning.

“Since then, her phone has gone straight to voicemail,” her sister-in-law Tabitha Cromeenes said. “No social media, it’s been inactive.”

After not hearing from her for some time, her family decided to file a missing persons report with the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office. The office worked with the Waco Police Department and the Kosse Police Department on the investigation.

On April 22, a CLEAR alert was issued for Rowe’s disappearance. A CLEAR alert helps law enforcement locate missing, kidnapped or abducted adults who are in immediate danger.

Rowe used a breathing machine and was also diabetic. When she disappeared, she only had enough insulin to last her a day, and she left her breathing machine at her home in Kosse, so her family was very worried for her.

This all comes less than two weeks after Ernest Anderson, an Uber driver from Nolanville, went missing and was later found dead, according to his family.
